This is what 40 looks like
I've seen a lot of internet memes that go a little something like "This is what insert age looks like!" Today I turn 40, so I figured I'd take this and put my own spin on it. 🙂
I've spent a lot of time this week reflecting on the past 40 years. So many lessons learned from a collection of moments both challenging and joyful. Each of these moments shaping me into the person I am today.
I’ve witnessed so much beauty and resilience in the world. I’ve seen the power of kindness transform strangers into friends, the strength of communities coming together in times of need, and the incredible ability of people to adapt and grow. These experiences have given me a deep sense of hope for our future. This is the hope that continues to fuel me.
I've learned to celebrate the small victories, to live in the moment, and find contentment with the simple things. A quiet rainy evening, a deep conversation with a close friend, or just a good cup of coffee. 😉 Most importantly, I can look back and see how I've grown. Knowing that there are many more lessons to learn, I can say this with certainty: the best is yet to come.
My passion will remain, as always, to help strengthen our own community. I believe in positive change and our ability to create a brighter future through kindness and connection. Looking ahead, I see a world that continues to grow and learn right along with us.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Whether you’ve been coming to the Coffee House for years or just discovered us recently, you are part of the story I’m so thankful to tell. Here’s to many more years of community, connection, and coffee.
Cheers to 40 and beyond!
Warm regards,
Jimerson
